The idea for the original video of A Beautiful Lie was to feature this element of graphic text running across certain images to illustrate and highlight specific environmental facts and issues but in the end it was left with a more subtle, minimal approach that left the icebergs and glaciers open and easier to see and share. You can watch the alternate version called A Beautiful Lie 2.0. here.

Thousands of piglets whose legs became trapped between floor slats were simply abandoned to die of starvation or dehydration. Weanling piglets that got too close to heat lamps were left to burn to death. ‘We call them ‘baby back ribs’ and ‘crispy critters.’ ’ the workers told us.’

Can you imagine being the mother pig, trapped inside a gestration crate and unable to help as she watches her babies die in front of her? :(

This breaks my heart :(

I can’t breathe
The poor little babies oh god
They’re so tiny :’(

Is the reason why the mom is separate so that she doesn’t squash her babies? or is that just what they tell you the reason is..? Either way this is terrible and I really hope to see a day where it ends.

Don’t you wanna just make something that lives forever, something that’s phenomenal, something that’s great, something that’s undeniable? That touches the core of every person that hears it, you know? You wanna make something beautiful, something moving, something provocative, something that’s pure and true" - Jared Leto
